Elementary

Morning (K-6th)

Developing a program that has a core curriculum for families to rely on is our highest priority, and this starts with our littlest learners. Memory work will be presented in three cycles (Ancient, Medieval, and Modern). Students will learn history and geography with Story of the World, explore math concepts through Rightstart Math games, enjoy hands-on science and art lessons, and give weekly presentations. In the elementary years the students will interact with English Grammar/Latin to help bridge the gap between the elementary mornings and afternoons.

Afternoon (4th-6th)

The afternoon of our community day builds on some of the concepts from our morning classes. A robust grammar program teaches how our language works, and gives the students a deeper understanding of the morning time and memory work by using the parts of speech as they parse and diagram sentences. MCA uses the Institute for Excellence in Writing (IEW) to equip students as they learn how to structure different types of papers and write eloquently. Latin Vocab games help the students make connections from Latin to our English language.
